35 McIntosh Road, Dee Why NSW 2099. A private home studio with on-street parking. Approximate drive times outside peak: 5 minutes from Brookvale, 5 minutes from Cromer, 7 minutes from Collaroy, 8 minutes from Curl Curl, 10 minutes from Manly.
What hours are sessions available?
Sessions run weekdays 5:30am to 7:00pm and Saturdays 6:00am to 12:00pm. The 5:30am, 6:00am, and 6:30am slots fill first. They suit commuters heading to Sydney CBD or North Sydney. Weekend slots fill 2 to 3 weeks in advance.
What's the cancellation policy?
24 hours' notice for a free reschedule. Inside 24 hours the session is forfeited unless it's an emergency or illness. Call or text Matt and we'll work it out. The policy exists so the slot can be offered to another client, not as a money grab.
How long until I see results?
Strength gains show in 4 to 6 weeks. Visible body composition change in 8 to 12 weeks for clients training 2x per week with consistent nutrition. Energy and sleep often improve by week 2. Specific timelines:
- Week 1 to 2: better sleep, more energy, less day-to-day stiffness
- Week 4 to 6: measurable strength gains on main lifts
- Week 8 to 12: visible body composition change (clothes fit differently)
- Week 12 to 16: photo-visible change for body comp goals
- 6+ months: the version of you you'd recommend to a friend
Do I need to be fit to start?
No. Most new clients haven't trained in months or years. The first session is built around your current ability and movement screen, not anyone else's. There is no fitness test, no minimum to "qualify".
What do I need to bring to a session?
Just a water bottle and a sweat towel. The studio is fully kitted with barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, bench, rack, sled, bands, and a boxing setup. Wear shorts or leggings, a t-shirt, and stable trainers (avoid soft running shoes for lifting).
Is there parking?
Yes. Free on-street parking on McIntosh Road, typically within 30 metres of the studio door. No permits, no meters, easy access before 7am and around midday.
Can I bring my partner or a friend?
Yes. Couples and pair sessions run as small group (from $25 per person, max 4). Same programming, individual feedback, lower per-person cost. Pair sessions work well for couples training together or two friends with similar goals.
Do you do online coaching?
Yes. Online coaching from $50 per week includes a bespoke programme, weekly check-ins, and form review by video. It suits clients who travel frequently, live outside the Northern Beaches, or want lower-cost structured programming. Most online clients hybrid in 1 in-person session per month at the studio.

Can I train if I have an injury?
Yes, once you've been cleared by a physio or doctor for general exercise. Mr PT Fitness regularly takes referrals from physios and EPs across the Northern Beaches. Programming works around (not through) the affected area. For active injury, clinical conditions, or post-surgical rehab, see an exercise physiologist first. They're university-qualified clinicians whose sessions can be Medicare-rebatable.
Do you write nutrition plans?
Yes, from $120 one-off, written within scope of practice as a personal trainer (not a registered dietitian). Plans cover daily energy targets, macro ranges, meal structure examples, and grocery lists. For specific medical conditions, the plan refers to a dietitian.
How do I book my first session?

What if I want to stop training?
